After the briefing, begin the trek into the impenetrable jungles in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. Gorilla tracking is unpredictable and therefore it is difficult to foresee how many hours it will take to find the great apes. The gorilla trek may take 2-6 hours, and you should be prepared to walk a long distance along steep hills and valleys. You should carry a rain overhead, given that sometimes it may rain in the forest. For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these gentle giants. After the gorilla trek, embark on a return trip to Kigali. Drop off at the hotel or airport.
