The 4 Day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Safari starts in Kigali city and also ends within the same city which is Rwanda’s capital. Mountain gorilla trekking takes place in Volcanoes National Park which has a total of 400 mountain gorillas. This is half of the 880 gorillas remaining in the whole world. This 4 days Rwanda gorilla safari gives you an opportunity to track the mountain gorillas as well as spot the golden monkeys within the same park. The park has 10 habituated gorilla families that can be visited on a daily basis by interested visitors.

The tour also includes a Kigali city tour where you can visit the genocide memorial site that was put in place to commemorate the 1994 genocide which took place in Rwanda, National Museum with lots of historical items of the country and were given to Rwanda by the Belgium government.

You will be picked up by our the Albertine tour driver guide and be driven straight away to the Hotel. You will either have an overnight at Kigali Serena hotel [luxury], Chez Lando hotel [budget]. Meal plan Full Board.

you will have breakfast in the morning at the hotel and embark to enjoy the Kigali city tour including the visit of the genocide memorial site at Gisozi, the first house, the national museum, do some shopping and then return to the hotel for lunch. After lunch set, you will set off for the long drive to Volcanoes national park in Musanze district in Northern Province, Overnight and Meal plan at Mountain gorilla view lodge [luxury], 5volcanoes boutique hotel [ luxury] or Muhabura hotel[budget].

You will have breakfast early in the morning thereafter proceed to Volcanoes National Park offices for the briefing about the gorillas and allocation of Gorilla family and the guide. Thereafter drive to the starting point and head into the tropical rain forest to track the mountain gorillas starting from where they stayed the previous day until you find them. You will find the gorillas doing their daily activity of feeding, climbing trees, and others just relaxing. Take your best photographs with the flash switched off. This whole exercise takes a maximum of strictly 1 hour and then return to the hotel for lunch and some relaxation. You can go for village walks or visit the gorilla guardian village for the rest of the afternoon/eveing.

After an early breakfast you will embark on the drive to the park office where you will be introduced to the park guide and proceed to the Dian Fossey hike at Karisoke Research Center, where Dian, an American anthropologist spent years researching and conserving the gorillas before she was killed and buried there next to Digit, her favorite silverback gorilla. You may encounter gorillas on the way to the Research Center and then return to the hotel for lunch. You will then drive to Kigali and be dropped to the airport for your departure flight.
