Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Pick-up and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On this day, you will be met by an Albertine Tours company representative who will transfer you to the hotel that has been booked for you to freshen up and later go for a Kigali city tour. You will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, craft shops, and local markets for souvenirs. Have lunch and return to the lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience
You will have an early morning breakfast, after which you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing starting at 7:00 am. The briefing will cover the do’s and don’ts while with the mountain gorillas. Later, you will head into the forest in search of the primate species. It takes 2 to 6 hours to find the gorillas, depending on how far they have gone. Once you locate the gorillas, you will be allowed up to one hour for observation and photography. Later, exit the park and return to the lodge.

Day 3: Hike to the Dian Fossey tomb
Wake up to a beautiful morning breakfast, after which you will drive to the park headquarters at the Karisoke Research Center for a briefing on Dian Fossey, followed by a hike into the trail. This leads you to the tomb of the American primatologist, and on a lucky day you might meet mountain gorillas. The place is dotted with many beautiful plants, flowers, and creeping plants that describe the true wilderness of the conservation area. Later, return to the lodge.

Day 4: Iby’iwacu Community Visit and Relaxation
Following breakfast, you will visit the Iby’iwacu community to experience the Rwandan culture.
