Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali Airport.
On arrival, you will be picked up at the airport by an Albertine Tours representative and transferred to your booked Hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park.
Today, after your morning cup of coffee, meet your driver at the parking yard and transfer to Nyungwe Forest, one of the most important national parks for chimpanzee trekking, White and Black Colobus monkeys, and bird watching in Rwanda, with over 280 bird species recorded by the specialists. The majority are regional endemics in the forest.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe.
After breakfast, head out for chimpanzee trekking at one of the starting points of hiking into the forest in search of the chimpanzees, depending on the previous day’s trekking. You may see other primates on the way, as well as birds and butterflies. Return to the lodge in time for lunch.

Day 4: Transfer from Nyungwe to Volcanoes National Park.
Have breakfast; together with your luggage, transfer to Volcanoes National Park, have lunch on your way to Karongi and Rubavu, if time allows, enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Kivu, and then proceed with your drive to your accommodation in Musanze.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking, Volcanoes National Park.
Have breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters where you will meet the ranger guides for formalities. When you are done with the briefing, you will embark on the drive heading to the starting point of the trail and begin the trek. The trek can be quite long or short, taking approximately 2-5 hours. After the trek, return to your lodge for complete relaxation.

Day 6: Transfer to Lake Kivu

Day 7: Transfer from Lake Kivu To Kigali.
After your African cup of coffee, embark on your drive back to Kigali. Start your Kigali city sightseeing, which includes the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gisozi. The Kigali City tour will enable you to visit the colorful markets, the Kimironko local Market. And the craft centers within the City, have lunch, and transfer to Kigali International Airport for your outbound flight.
