Upon arrival at the Kigali International Airport, Your 3 Days Bwindi Gorilla Double Trekking Through Kigali starts from here. You will meet with a tour agent from Albertine Tours who will warmly welcome you to the Land of Thousand Hills and brief about the expectations and highlights of this exciting tour itinerary.
Alternatively, for residents in the country, you will be picked from your hotel of stay or a designated pickup location in Kigali to start your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey to the park is quite scenic with picturesque moments along the way as you dive into Uganda, the Pearl of Africa crossing over at the Chanika or Katuna border.
Upon reaching the park, we shall check-in, and book a preferred accommodation type for dinner and overnight stay as we plan and prepare for the ultimate gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park the next day.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

3 Days Bwindi Gorilla Double Trekking Tour

The second day of your 3 Days Bwindi Double Gorilla Trekking will give you the amazing experience with the mountain gorillas. Waking up to a sumptuous tasty and energetic breakfast, you will be required to get your lunch packed and then be taken to the park headquarters in buhoma where you will attend the gorilla trek briefing exercise from the park rangers.  You will be enlightened about the Dos and Don’ts of the whole gorilla trekking exercise after which your assigned guide of the group you will be trekking with will take you to the set-off point for a hike into the jungle to begin the trek for the gorilla family which your group has been assigned.

Please note that allocating a gorilla family largely depends on your fitness levels, age, and your interests. This is why we recommend that at the time of booking, you provide such details carefully for prior planning and arrangements. The whole experience of gorilla trekking is quite strenuous and tiresome taking between 1 hour – 6 hours depending on the movement and location of the assigned gorilla family. On meeting with the gorillas, you will be excited to see how these unique giants of the mountain behind, play and feed. They are believed to share 99% of human DNA and at this point, you will surely assert that it is true.  After a maximum of an allocated hour with the gorillas, your guide will lead you park to the park headquarters to pick your trekking certificates and later be transferred to your booked hotel for dinner and overnight. Please Note, your packed lunch can be enjoyed along the way as you hike into the forest searching for the gorillas

This marks the final day of your 3 Days Bwindi Double Gorilla Trekking, and you will wake very early to enjoy breakfast and arrange for a second (optional) gorilla trek in Bwindi. The second gorilla trek is optional and for those who interest in taking up will be assigned to visit the closest gorilla families (such as the Bitukura gorilla family) which stays the Buhoma region which is near to the park headquarters and after the trekking, we definitely set off for a 4 hours drive crossing over to Kigali in Rwanda with drop-offs at the airport or hotel depending on the arrival time.
