Akagera National Park, a mixture of Savannah and forested areas is densely located in the eastern part of Rwanda and is surely a beauty to visit for wild game lovers. Named after the Akagera River that flows along its eastern boundary. The park is gifted to have the forest-fringed lakes, papyrus swamps, Savannah plains and rolling highlands that make it the most scenic national parks anywhere in Africa. Day 1: Akagera National Park Tour – Return to Kigali
Early morning, you will be picked by Albertine Tours driver guide at 4:30 am for your day trip to Akagera national park. The drive takes 2 hours and 30 minutes to reach and then after registration and briefing you will start your game drive in search of the big 5 in the savannah park.
While on your game drive, our Professional driver guide will make sure you enjoy the wonderful sights and sounds of this Savannah park gazing at the Elephants, Zebras, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Lions, leopard, and Rhinos that were recently introduced into the park. You will have your lunch within the designated picnic areas in the park and later exit and return to Kigali marking the end of the Akagera full day tour.
