Volcanoes National Park has more than enough habituated gorilla families that are always ready to be tracked. This 4-day gorilla holiday tours allows you to track the mountain gorillas and, at the same time, can be combined with golden monkey trekking within the same park.

Day 1: Pick up from Kigali International Airport.
Depending on your arrival time, will be picked up by our Albertine tour driver-guide and driven straight away to your booked hotel in Kigali town.

Day 2: Kigali sightseeing and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
Breakfast, meet your guide, start your Kigali city tour including a visit to the genocide memorial site at Gisozi, lunch before setting off for the drive to Volcanoes National Park for accommodation.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park.
After breakfast, meet your guide and depart to the Volcanoes National Park offices for a briefing about the gorillas and allocation of a gorilla family and the guide. Thereafter, drive to the starting point and head into the tropical rainforest to track the mountain gorillas, starting from where they stayed the previous day until you find them. You will find the gorillas doing their daily activity of feeding, climbing trees, and others just relaxing. Take your best photographs with the flash switched off. This whole exercise takes a maximum of 1 hour, and then return to the hotel for lunch and some relaxation. You can go for village walks or visit the gorilla guardian village for the rest of the afternoon

Day 4: Dian Fossey Hike and Transfer to Kigali.
Breakfast in the morning, embark on the drive to the park office where you will be introduced to the park guide and proceed to the Dian Fossey hike at Karisoke Research Center, where Dian, an American anthropologist, spent years researching and conserving the gorillas and is buried there next to Digit, her favorite silverback gorilla, and then return to the hotel for lunch. You will then drive to Kigali and be dropped off at the airport for your departure flight.
